Brilliant! I would not presume to suggest that he should drive anything. I understand how much work goes into preparing these models. In fact that is partly why I would like him to see them being used... so that he is able to appreciate the dedication and effort!

It probably sounds a bit like I am up my own arse... but I believe that if I introduce him to a great many things like modelling / off roading / cycling/ yes even walking / and use knowledgable people in each of these fields to give him a factual understanding rather than just me... his dad... mumbling on like I am an expert on everything... when he finds things that REALLY fire his imagination, he will have a welath of expertise on which to draw!

Unfortunately he has recently been expressing an ineterest in astronomy. Any Rocket Scientists with evening to spare among our little group?

(My knowledge of rockets goes as far as.... Never let the woman drive... look what happened last time)

LOL!

Hey been trailing through you tube I think I have found a pic of the spydermobile stuck in whaddon part way through a video! Can it be? It looks like the spydermobile! but ..... have a look for yourselves, 1 minute 17 in to the video. Jai

That's me on my first trip to Whaddon. On the little track that winds through the trees, o/s wheel dropped into a mahusive hole, it took some getting out. It was seriously wet then too.
Don't those tyres look small?:D

dont forget me for sailsbury!!!!!!!! i'll be there u/k if alone or with other 1/2 we'll see!!

Hope you all well!!

Beer sometime??

Ah looks like spyderman is the closest the camel 90 was filmed in sandy lane off the A5. The white landrover was filmed in the garden. Our new flying field has a small bit for us to play with our toy landies oh its sad, but fun! Jai

You direct us to a good country pub on our next outing and you can have a pint on me spyderman. I'll be out of the laning bit for a couple of weeks I got a model flying comp, trying to get a garage clear and then a trip down south but ill be back! Jai

Jai,

see you are on-line, how's it going?

How long did it take you to get all the mud off after 40 foot lane. Took me a week!!

There was so much clay just in the tow hitch I filled a rubble sack with it, I also found a whole brick!

So when you gonna make it out again?

Jai, don't worry, I'm out of action for a few weeks too.
Are you trying to increase your post count?

Kev, my Landy is dropping huge lumps of mud all over DB's front garden. Didn't get chance to clean it off before it died. Still you don't notice the mud for all of the oil.

Spyderman,

Yeah I know what you mean. You can see where I parked mine due to the Range Rover sized outline in mud in the public car park by our office. I had a week of people staring and pointing at it. Most people have obviously never seen a muddy Range Rover.

So how long do you think the engine swap is going to take?

Mind you it might actually save time doing modifications now with the engine out. At least you can get everything where it really needs to be without having to work around the engine.
