Oh I nearly forgot

He decided to reinforce the clutck fork while he was at it -

He cut strip from some old scrap steel

and welded it to the clutch fork like he had seen on the web photos after talking to Phil this morning

and hence: the new and improved Kai-fork

Well worth doing the clutch mod.

Looks like your making progress guys.

Did you hear anything else of Phil hows he getting on he seemed a wee bit naffed at his LR not being on the road.

I have a tap and die set here if he needs one! I thought he knew that! did he getone in the end or did you have one to lend him Brett?

He picket up my flaring tool this morning... I thought he was going to swing past your place on the way home but he must have changed his mind Jai

Haha shame about the scottish weather though!! Those clouds are hiding the Cuillin mountains (almost 1000m) and the dog took 6 hours to dry out.. My 'waterproof' trousers will probably take a few days :D:D Anyone jealous yet? :p Anyone feeling adventurous enough for a visit?

Not many landies round here.. plenty of slitties  Just took the dog for a late night 'w' (don't say too loud) and the stars are the brightest I have ever seen them. I thought the wind was bloody strong earlier today on the top of that moor but just stepping outside now .. this would be considered a hurricane in England!! I dont think any of the houses here have landlines and mobile signal is terrible so there is a proper old style red telephone box.. I thought it would be cool to stand in it in the wind for a second and I physically couldnt open the door more than about 5cm with 1 hand, the other holding the dog lead!!! The sea is a good 50 or 60m below and yet in the pitch black it sounds like it is right next to you!

That's just the norm up here, what are ye moanin' aboot!??! :p:p:D:D:D

That does look awesome, if it wasn't so fooking far away, I'd definately pop up :D Where are you staying ?

Youre welcome to if you can :p The 'village' (bout 20 houses) is called Aird of Sleat. I found a stony track which leads to the end of the peninsula about 4km away. You wouldn't get a car down there but I drove to the end and walked down to the white sandy beach  Pic 3 is the track
