And yes, I'm still in Cambridgeshire :doh: Partly because I found my road tyres were leaking air (i think through the valves) so will get them checked out tomorrow then should be good to go... finally  This is where I'm heading... And they are forecasting snow this October:eek::D:D

I'd be more impressed if there was no road there, roads are for girls :D

Hi Ryder,

I have the defender one 1.4:1 Not driven on it yours for £20 but its not complete its had some bits taken off linkage and flanges etc. No history.

I have a Disco box at my old mans house be better suited to your gearing. it will need your original input gear because I know the gearbox splines it came from was shot. Not checked driven on it but sure it all engaged as it should. Yours for £40. No history.

Or a fully tested 100% working converted to fit defender handbrake (no use to you) I know for £85.

How you getting on with your Transfer box swap? Must be getting there now.
Jai

I've found out why my fuel tank was leaking, the previous prat owner had welded a repair patch to the outrigger and welded it to the tank.
Both outriggers and fuel tank replaced, just a case of putting it back together now.
More money, hey ho!

Drizz, this months (octobers) LRO mag has the info on a trip they did which includes Violets lane and a bunch of other lanes in the area. If none of your guys has a copy let me know and I'll put a bunch of the grid refs up here later.

Drizz,

Search for Standon Ford its not that far from Violets lane its just off the A120 a few miles before it meets the A10 i think. Usually quite deepish don't go close to the Wall because you fall into a ditch and hit the wall an offroad club member did this and got slated by lots of anti 4x4 ppl.

Well I have successfully made my 90 FWD only!!!

I got in from work at a reasonable time this evening so I attacked me rear aslisbury diff. removed it from the 90 and stripped the old diff with locker and put the Detroit into my current 90 4.7 carrier. was planning on getting it all back tpgether this evening but Torque wrench had other ideas. Will buy a new one tomorrow from and get it all back together.

Detroit Baby! Now I need a front one!!

Anybody have a Detoit Electrac 24 spline going spare? hehe
