Thinking about it I have heard a good few squeaks from the nsf wheel when accelerating hard. Is it more likely to be a wheel bearing or swivel? Where can I get the parts for monday
Check your prop shaft UJ's. If it isn't wheel bearing or prop UJ then it might be a CV joint although those normally make a clicking noise on lock. BTW I have hub nut box spanner and a spare wheel bearing as well, pretty sure they are all the same size.
Thanks Kev, excuse my ignorance lol but how could it be a prop uj if its a problem with the brakes? Can you PM me your number in case I can't get any bearings elsewhere! Thanks for the offer
Not too sure what anybody is up to this weekend screwy, Think a few a fixing a few issues befor heading to wales in the week.
LRJ, What sorta time are we looking at for tomorrow? I shall chuck some tools and spares into the car this evening.
Need to see if my RAC cover is still intact before we go also, too much to do and not enough time to do it!
Axle stands perhaps?Whatever time suits you tbh mate. I have to get some food for the trip some time and I am painting my wolf rims up today and will have to take them somewhere tomorrow to get the muds fitted on. I will be taking them in the back for the journey and swapping them over in wales. What time would suit you?
Do you have a trolley jack or something more stable than my hi lift for fiddling with the bearings?
Jack, Ali and I put just over 100 ropes in the trailer yesterday. It's a LOAD! I think we will need to pack it onto a small pallet somehow. Whatever, we are NOT forgetting! We took 100 out of the pile and made no visible impression. There must be 600 or more still there. Charles
Do you have any jerry cans and a funnel of some kind because I have a full fuel tank which will need draining if we get time to look at the diesel leak. My dad says his volvo will probably be able to swallow 50litres of it. Maybe we could go scrounging for parts in your landy if I gave you some diesel too I guess its better to find parts when you know what you need lol!
