Yeah, all of the drivers were employed by Subaru. i posted it just to show what it was like really. My Landy would **** all over all of them off-road.

Yeah it looks nice fella, was just hopeing you didn't buy it cos some bull**** bloke said it was far better than all the competitors lol.
I do like Subaru as they are the orignal 4x4 so usually the best!! But that video was very biest.

No, I looked at Skoda Octavia Vrs, BMW 5 Series Touring, Volvo V70/XC70, plus just about everything else. Subaru offered the best deal on the car that suited our needs.

Well the box is gonna have to be fitted seeing as how there is no shaft on t'other one any more! Its been run dry for a while so I'll have to take a chance on the pas pump and bite the bullet if it is knackered... thinking it might be worth keeping my eye out for a donor vehicle at this rate!

Fair enough don't say I didn't warn ya lol

Also hope you don't travel to far from home as I am sure water pump and alternator run off that belt?? GOOD LUCK m8

Unfortunately CharlesY hasn't been able to pack and send the ropes yet so I won't have them for tomorrow. I may decide not to come, maybe meet up a couple of weeks later with the ropes to save travelling the distance twice. Will you be planning the trip more at the pub?

Hey righto' after some motorway testing the 90 is good for Wales! My plan is to head to south wales camp one night nr Pontypool then head up to North Wales. The only planning we need to decide is a camp site and wher to meet in North Wales. The lanes we can ask the locals on ere for some routes however i'm very wary of arranging to go witth them as previously its been disasterious. I'd prefer to stay at a camp site and get info while up there if it comes to it.

Maybe meet some LZ guys at a local watering hole and exchange maps/routes and then split into groups and each group organise their own thing. No leaders no organisers just rock up and have fun. jai

Jai.. Aimed at you as I've seen your post about someone elses Diff bearings/UJs etc.. But open to anyone with ideas,

My disco has started to develop a 'chirp' under acceleration, it happens between 2-2.5k revs regardless of speed/gear!

I can't decide if its from wheel bearing, diff or prop, if the engine 'coasts' in gear its not there, only when accelerating.

I've also held the engine with gear box in neutral, and then gear box in gear and transfer box in neutral and no noise so its definitely somewhere between transfer - wheel!

I'm planning on doing all oils and look at bearings anyway and UJs are fine, any other ideas?? I really don't want transfer box or diffs to have to come out for re-con!! :(

Uj's favourite pump them full of grease even if they feel ok wouldn't hurt to grease em. wheel bearing you'd usually have a sligtly longer brake pedal but defo worth stripping and having a look see.

Will do!! The UJs I replaced them with last sept/oct were non greasable sealed ones, the prop itself could probably do with a bucket full tho.

I might just get some new UJs anyway cause they're only cheap/easy... Will take a look at tomorrow!
