I saw Ryder's Disco today. It really exists, bargain motor for £500, a right result.
Solid Chassis and a strong sounding V8, just needs some recovery points and some decent tyres and all will be good.

Some nice pics Leonberger.

Fitted the Fairey PTO Drum Winch today with Discobasher, just need the drive shafts and I'll be stuck no more.

Oh I dunno spyderman... I still think you'll find a way!

Thinking about posting that pic of your proposed new wheel/tyre combination ok?

went to steppingly tonight, just to let the kid wind down. The towing hitch is going to be an issue with clearance I think. I heard it catch once or twice on the ruts near the north end. Gearing seems different on this motor to my Shogun. More grunt... in fact there's more grunt coming from that V8 in Low Ratio that at a Hippos wedding party!

Thanks to DiscoB... for his help today as well. Trying to learn all thiings landy in a day is not easy!

Will take pics and post them tomorrow Hope we get a few turn up. Should be a good day out.

Hope you had a wicked time today guys! sorry i missed it, had to sort some things at home,
hope to meet up when i wake up next saturday!

Sorry I missed out today aswell but short on funds and reallyshattered after the 600 miles ive driven this week (mainly in the dark with a car trailer following me!). That winch looks the nuts on Spyders series:D
The only thing I would add to removing the towbar from Ryders disco is to remember what it protects. THE BLOODY FUEL TANK!!!!!!
I would rather have a few knocks on my tow bar than damageor peirce my fuel tank so leave it on there till you either get a tank guard or i start making them.

Today was interesting. Only three of us showed but set out for a good day. Checked out the lanes around cambridge (Leonburger that roman road is seriously closed to anything wider than 2m). Kris tried to compromise and remove a wheel so that he qualified as a motorcycle and side car! (Well to be honest the damn drive shaft fell out with (of) the motor and decided to make its own way home.)

Glad you got home safely Kris.

Have pics of Kris doing his repairs.... eventually some good lanes done with a lot of fun. Pics will follow.

The fuel tank you say.... hmmm striked me that would be a little inconvenient if perforated.... especially if I am near a smoker at the time. Mayhap that towbar is in just the right place!

That 900 did look very nice on Spyders truck :D
Sorry I missed out but I still ache all over :(
Will defo be up for grafham water next week tho.

Just been looking at several different guards on the web and think its not beyond me to make most of them. Trouble is my shed is a tad small and I would need something to fold sheet metal with to get the correct fitments. Alluminium plate is a good option and easier to fold but more expensive to buy. Will have to get the tape measure out and see what I can knock up.

Now I wonder if the mrs would let me have a plasma cutter................
