Hey Mr V,

Hows you doing? are you comming out laning again sometime? Jai

Hi Jai,

Good thanks. I replaced my old Q plate with dodgy brakes, clutch and steering box, with a newer beast that's got classic disco rot in the sills and inner wings. (didn't realise how bad, at the time!) MOT is due at the end of the month, so spending every spare hour underneath it at the moment. 'Should' be finished next weekend and ready to tackle some more mud in February.

As soon as the 12month ticket goes on, I'll be back out with you guys, and certainly looking forward to it - ain't it amazing how you can get so addicted so quickly..

Yes, they want to sell it as a vacant posession. This is because it can take a while to get a tennant to move out and that can often prove to be a deal breaker.

Buggered then!

(In the style of Clive Tucker) Aaaarrrrse!

I saw the end of it Ryder where the three wheeler went off the track at the start

Hey Disco01,

Yes the pub meet is always in the same place but we cannot post it here because of the anti's and the fact that thet may get to our vehicles. I will pm the details Now to you and Screwy, Jai

Hey falla's, hope we are all well and still out and about. i hear you lot are going out this coming weekend, would be good to catch up and see you all. could someone be as kind and forward me details.

Thanks for your advice yesterday DB

Hi Glenn,

how are you mate, not heard from you in a while. Anyway, the plan is we're going out on Saturday. Spyderman is organising so if you let him know you're tagging along I'm sure he'll PM details toward the end of the week coz so far I'm not aware of a plan of where and when to meet up. I suspect it will be one of our usual meeting points, probably between 9:00 and 10:00am. There has been quite a lot of interest and I believe some of the Surrey folks are coming up.

LOL,

Just done my front stub axle all good,
Rear diff done,

Started checking the rear wheel bearings and seals and found out that one seal had gone so replaced it the on inspection someone before hand must have had the inner bearing seize and angle ground it off leaving some lovely deep cuts in the rear stub axle right where the bearing runs. Anyway, Will be getting another stub axle from my old axle asap hopefully before the weekend! Jai

I wondered if you'd get that done today in this weather. My prop's on order should be here by Thursday, so hopefully be good for the weekend.

Oh and just one more question, who are the anti's???

Rambelers most, 90% are ok out for a days walking, others are really vicious and will do anything from slashing your tyres to standing in your way there are Ramblers on ere scouting and copying pics posting them as evidence why all the lanes should be closed. As a green lane supporter it is my duty to protect what we have left only 3% of all of the right of ways in the UK. Years gone by we had loads to choose from. Walkers can cause more damage to the lanes that Vehicles and Horses are quite damaging. but We the 4x4 brigade get blamed. Thats why there is such a difference betwen Off Rooding and Greenlaning. We have to do this to segrigate ourselves from the mud slinging yee Haa!'s at pay and Play sites. We are all respectable greenlaners that respect our lanes and cause no damage or impact. Jai

Hi Guys,

Looking very forward to the weekend, got myself a snorkel (looks the dogs), and a hammer to break the window if I end up upside down in a river...

And then some advice please, I have axle breathers sitting just under the bonnet (now i know it has been said that I'll get water in the axles anyway) but should I raise the axle breathers higher than the top of the bonnet, and if so how would I do it/where would I take them too ?

Thanks in advance, and excuse my ignorance :D

Actually thinking about the mechanics of it, do I run them outside and then up the outside of the snorkel, or fit nipples to the inside snorkel pipe and connect them up there ?

However you want ... just make sure that any connections you make are watertight .. the only opening should be at the highest point ... ;)

Very true Jai

Surely if one group has 100% of public paths to use and enjoy it is not unreasonable for them to share just 2 - 3% with another group of users who are there to also enjoy them and the countryside and who often give back by clearing, maintaining and tidying?
