Very true Jai

Surely if one group has 100% of public paths to use and enjoy it is not unreasonable for them to share just 2 - 3% with another group of users who are there to also enjoy them and the countryside and who often give back by clearing, maintaining and tidying?

What has being reasonable have to do with it?

They want them all.

From what people have told me and from what I have read that appears to be exactly the case.

and there was me trying to not get stressed and annoyed today!

Mind you I always laugh to myself when people comment on the lack of fuel economy of a 4x4. "My other car does over 67 miles to the gallon and I use that Monday to Friday" soons shuts them up

Hi Guys,

Looking very forward to the weekend, got myself a snorkel (looks the dogs), and a hammer to break the window if I end up upside down in a river...

And then some advice please, I have axle breathers sitting just under the bonnet (now i know it has been said that I'll get water in the axles anyway) but should I raise the axle breathers higher than the top of the bonnet, and if so how would I do it/where would I take them too ?

Thanks in advance, and excuse my ignorance :D

The breathers you have under the bonnet are only front axel and transfer and gearbox, your rear breather is only about 3foot long and will be sitting on the top of your chassie. this is unless you have extended your rear already. if you need a hand let me know

I vented the rear axle into the inside, by the rear lights. I just love the smell of EP90 in the morning, smells like.....smells like Victory.

Hi all

Hope all is well with everyone. Do hope to be out on the lanes with you all very soon (maybe next week)

Bret thanks for the offer for the spare seat but will have to pass this time.

Jai are you busy on sunday?

Hopefully will be catching up with you all soon

Phil

This morning I had 8 dogs in the back, and two in the front, all I could smell was dog fart... But I like your style :D

And thanks for the info Glen, surprisingly (or not) I didn't know that !

I'll have a bash tomorrow, and if I can't figure it out I will hollar !

Hey Phil,

Ok no worries mate. Yeah will give it a good check over ( where is the main bits to look) Did a check with insurance and with everything listed it wasn't bad. So hopefully all goes well and ill be driving it home sunday. No one else know's anything about it ie looks mods (price) so should be good.

hey DB
Yea new consensus is im gonna run on this stub axle for the weekend. It has been damaged and bearings have been replaced before i got it. It hasnt caused any damage to the new bearing even the trip to salisbury and running about here and there but it most certainly is Fubar'd

Latest idea is to get the back end disk braked but will find a suitable spare stub axle after the weekend to run on til i mock up the disk conv on a spare axle then swap it all over quite a simple mod just need some bits and bobs and make a 6mm spacer and mabe a different servo/master Jai

no thats far too easy! The shafts are puney and weak and my detroit wont fit:-( Jai

Alright mate im looking at doing a disc conversion on the rear of mine, are the disco half shalfs diffrent to that of defender ones am i better off buying a defender rear axel rather than a disco. cheers

Did you get sorted last niht Jai?

Thanks for your help today mate, its much appreciated. Me dad has been up there and picked it up, just gotta fit it tonight in the dark funnnnnnnn. may need your advice on setting it up as i cant remember what i did when i changed it last, im sure it will all come back to me when i get under the bonnet
