Disco1, better to go out in the morning if you can, reason, it's dark at about 4.30, so if we go in the afternoon and hit problems, we'll be dealing with it in the dark. If we go in the morning and things go pear shaped, we've got daylight to sort it. Unless you can only do the afternoon that is.

Do the words "Lucky Bastard" mean anything to you....?

Allright for some!

We are taking the boys to lapland UK today down in Kent. Theyve got real snow (machine made) but not -28.

Would love to take the disco in the snow in Europe somewhere for a week :D

Is anybody about for a bit of easy laning on Saturday? I get my new tyres on Thursday and fancy a bit of gentle laning :)

hey, I'm new to this site and I don't wanna just jump in on the bandwagon unwelcome. I'm up for a bit of laning on Saturday if it's ok for me to tag along? If not no worries. I'm in Enfield area but am willing to travel wherever.

Thanks, Andy

welcome Andy,

You are most welcome to join in with our fun. i think you need to speak to Spyderman as he is sorting out the Saturday outing but im sure it will be ok. He will probably be on here soon anyway. What mota have you got? Is it fitted with recovery points? If not we need to sort it before hand. I would usually be out this Sat but ive just moved into a new house need to get that up and running then ill be out and about again

Ps we do have a monthly pub meet if that interests you next Wednesday Jai

Sounds good, thanks Jai. i'll wait for him to come online, see what he says.

Yeah got a 109 2 1/4 diesel. its got a Nato hitch at the back, does that count? as for the frony none as yet, im sure i can sort those out. Are the ones that go on top of the front chassis arms that the bumper bolts on to good enough?

What are you running?

Hope your settling in goes well :)

Andy

nato is perfect in my opinion they are the best you can get! The loops at the front are also very good just bear in mind that they are above the chassis line and may pull your mota down slightly jate rings are popular the are cheap and work well too

I drive a land rover 90 not a defender its a 90! I built it up from a base vehicle and lots of bits and graft but i learnt to drive my dads 109 when i was a wee kid on the welsh hills people got surprised when an old 1966 overtook them on the motorway at 80 but my dad had it spot on. He did his own head modifications and saved petrol too so 109 hold lots of memories for me Jai
