bubbleless

Hi,

New here, just wondered whether there was a simple answer to a little problem.

All interior lights are permanently on.

The door sensors all work , on the dash when a door is open.

The puddle lights work as they should, door open lights on door shut lights off....

Just trying to rule simple things out, just keep thinking its the BCEM, as the earths are switched to control the interior lights.

Map / reading lights work to.

Any help would be appreciated.

Press the centre button on front interior light until dash message says lights set.

it will be the front light that is buggered, it has prob got wet leave it for a few weeks with no bulb in and it shoud be ok. and dont go out in the dark. lol..

If you have them set to off that's what they'll do it's manual mode. You have to get the SET message then they should work.

Just had another go.

Push the centre light switch.

Display says lights on
continue to push goes to lights off.

release switch.

lights still on, open close door no difference

try again the message comes up with the selection I made last time.

Doesn't come up with window not set type message of interior lights set.

Am I missing something , would really like an easy fix.

have a look at the plug on the drivers side behind kick pannel in frount of you door..

I have taken this off as the footwell lights are disconnected to.

which plug in particular??

I get all the correct door open / closed messages from the doors on the dash

have you fiddled with the towing electrics lately?? don't ask me why but my cousin had the same problam when she had a tow bar fitted:rolleyes:

Mine needed a good charge and it sorted itself.
I would get the fault codes read by an independent LR specialist, see what comes up, people on here will be able to tell you what they all mean.
If it is the becm Irish Rover is the man to talk too on here.

There is a fuse you can pull as a quick fix cant remember which one , take a look at rave.

Disconnect the battery for at least five minutes, then reconnect. you will then have to reset the windows and sunroof which is in the handbook !
