Nope. They even buy sh1te engines and boxes mate. The new range of GM engines were utter crap. 1750 TBI is a beaut mind and you can't beat a busso, boxer or 8v twink. Fiat Diesels are good mind.

I do not talk of modern ones, historically they had top notch engines and gearboxes but were all dipped in the dead sea before paint. Worked on enough of them to know that.

Don’t mistake it for the later fiat 16v unit. This was a chain driven beast. Not a frail cambelt snapping diva.

Edit. Just looked up the slang for twink. Twink is the name given to alfa and fiat’s twin cam engines. Not the other thing. :rolleyes:
