Hi,

My RRC 3.9EFi is having problems shifting into 4th, first and second follow smartly, then third, but it stays there for EVER. I counted it changing at 60mph once. WTF's the deal here, I mean petrol's already expensive, I'm not gonna hoon around at 3500rpm all the time!

And there are pops just from the left hand side of the exhaust (under the passenger seat, no power loss, just a pop every now and again

I had the very same problem with my Rangie - We changed the transmission oil and the gearbox filter and the problem went away. It`s now done a thousand miles since and changes up and down like a new -un

*Is embarassed*....guys....
There was no problem. I semi-manualled it and gave it a good thrashing in third, only to watch the needle fall to about 1700 when I put it into drive at 40mph. Whoops! I guess LR just build their transmission so well you cannot feel the changes!
