Here's my take on it.

I'll be leading a group on the day, I'll also be paying the £25 charity donation. I think doing it for charity is a good idea and could help the anti's chage their minds about us.

Blue Beasty: I'll be staying in your field fri/sat nights if that's ok with you? Let me know what I owe ya.

110woman: I'll be buying 2 cakes off you. Work out what It'll cost to make the pair of em. Add £10 to the price and then let me know what I owe ya.

I work 75-120 hours a week at just over the minimum wage. Money is tight for me too but at the same time I'll always help those I can cos you never know when you'll need the help yourself. I've helped quite a few peeps on here and also had quite a few help me. I hope it will always stay that way.

Perhaps on a personal note I should apologise for not mentioning in post #1 that there would be a charity element to the trip, although it wouldn't have been right to mention it until it had been clarified and agreed with group leaders first before posting it on here.;)

I did say privately to some peeps over 3 1/2 years ago on Chip Run 1 that Chip Run 2 (if it happened) would be for charity - it would require much more time and effort than the first and why shouldn't a worthy cause benefit from those efforts....

For those of you who are unaware, Chip Run 1 was three months in the making with those of us directly involved with the planning putting in huge chunks of our spare time (and money) to make it happen.

We have allowed six months for planning Chip Run Part Deux and are sure that we'll need every bit of that time (the route we are planning this time around is particularly complex) to ensure that this trip is every bit as successful as the last.

I honestly do understand that some of you are disappointed at possibly now not being able to attend, this is the reason we have given you well over 5 months notice about the charity aspect and not just sprung it on you later on, I hope that somehow things will pan out so you can still make it.

Lastly, sorting this trip has nothing to do with having a conscience or gaining kudos on this forum, I like to quietly go about my business making things happen and doing my bit with the team to give you all a cracking day out whilst raising a good bit of money for a worthy charity - just to have a successful day and to see a lot of happy smiling faces at the end of it all is good enough for me.

I'm not trying to inflame arguments by posting this, I'm trying to explain thats all :)

110woman, I have had a PM from a person who wishes to remain anonymous that 'they' will donate 25 quid on your behalf so that you can attend and have a great day with us all - problem resolved 'LandyZone style' just like somebody mentioned earlier in the thread ;):)

Please don't ask who as I will not betray 'their' trust, so get yer cake tins ready and yer arse down here in October......

P.S. Can I please have a chocolate cake? :rolleyes::p:D

I do believe everyone is more than happy with all you have done and dont see any points to argue, and im sure everyone will appreciate all you and the team have done.
And see no point in going over this anymore.
Can we all go back to taking the **** and boobs of any size;)
