Hi guy's,have just started on changing the pump,it says crank the engine until the lobe is facing the inlet side before you can insert the locking pin to hold the timing,there seems to be three holes that I can insert the pin is this right,although one hole does line up when the lobe is in the right position,am I onthe right track here,the hole is below the starter.cheers pat.
 
the hole is under the starter i think. It's meant to have a little plastic plug in it with a finger pull on it. i've seen a hole further out towards edge of the flywheel too. Havent spotted a 3rd yet though.
 
Hi I locked mine when I took the head off after overheating and I found that only one hole locks the engine solid the others there is slight movement hope this helps
