Feckin divas! Who let wimmins into LZ?

Send em back to cake baking - at least 110w knows her place :).

My place is a bit cramped now with all the other amazing bakers that provided offerings for the bash :D

Let's just draw a line under all the squabbling. ......I accept I contributed to it as I took the feedback personally ( bloody hormonal women. ....ask for something and then get upset when we get it  ) LZ is like a family ....fallings out, name calling and on-line punch ups. Vut like any family , when the chips are down we all help each other out ( LZIR, just as one example ).

So we have an opportunity to make next years event even better and appeal to even more members....lets use all of the goodwill and talents out there to make it happen. .....Sue , I for one would really value your input and talent for getting stuff sorted .please don't let the direction of this thread put you off. .....its as much your event as it is anyone elses. :)

Wouldn't be LZ if there weren't a few dummies littering the floor :p

Sad that it led to others being involved and pulling out though :( I'm not sure how that is supporting anyone.

Just for clarification I didn't suggest anyone else should stay away. I said right from the beginning it wasn't my sort if event. The problem was probably that I didn't organise for our lot to attend

It is interesting that some folk get banned for personal attacks. These rules obviously don't apply to the chosen few PMSL

You weren't the only one asked to keep personal grievences off the bash threads, some rather more forthrightly than you.

I'm under the impression that you can generally look after yourself but if you feel someone has gone too far report it. Thats what the button is for.

There are no chosen few and if the level of abuse is visible to accy, roy or Mod1 then they don't have time to play kindergarten teacher.

IF THERE IS A PROBLEM-REPORT IT

LOL 110, take a lot more than this thread to upset me :D

I cant use the hormonal excuse, I was bored :D:D:D

And you did ask :p:p

Happy to help with anything except CAMPING :pound::pound:

i cancelled my plans to attend in support of sue.

as a bit of background, yes sue does talk a lot, and it could be classed as whinging by some, she also does a lot of organising and has spent considerable time sorting routes and checking legalities of lanes.
a lot of laning newbies have been introduced thru theses outings.

for thoses that know her, a sue filter needs to be applied, and the information required has to be sifted to gain the bits needed, and know what to discard or ignore.

sometimes its easier to just to do it and reap the consequences afterwards.
i have a lot of respect for landyzone, and i also have a lot of respect for sue.
finances permitting, i will be attending next year.

Dont know which this deserves :D All of them probably

Crikey hecky thump!

I dint know all this stuff went on! But then that's cos I'm blonde and walk around with my head in the clouds or on planet zog half the time.

Anyway

A few good ideas to make it more appealing but I hope it doesn't become too, erm uniform lets say.

I loved that we could pitch where we wanted though I did have a moment of panic when hubby asked where did I want to pitch. There! No over there! No perhaps left! Oh FFS, just keep driving forward I dunno! Pressure, don't know why, but didn't want to look a plonker just parked in the middle of the field while I thought about it. ( oh god! They will be watching!) Lol

I really believe that the fact it was so informal, relaxed and go with the flow ( though please have the schedule, I can be a bit slow to react to spontaneous planning) is what made it so enjoyable. The kids could just do their thing, no rules other than common sense. Took me back to when I camped with parents in the dunes of Northumberland all those moons ago.

Keep the venue, I enjoyed the flag and the journey. Any closer and it wouldn't have felt like a break/ holiday.

Oh and for next year, if anyone's coming from say Scotty land we have no problem them stopping off at ours for a night to have a break in travel and fix any problems before going on to the event. Perhaps that might be an idea for others that are traveling a long way from the south too?

Top idea. Have to say don't think i actually said hello to you but like previously said findin out who was there after the event could do a tweak :D

Can't believe no one mentioned the Gymkhana, that Accy had put on spesshully. Even had a couple of shetland ponies for the vertiically challenged that were there. Shame Paul D & Accy never partook of em.. :D

As for feedback there was a good selection of all types of landies. I took a Gaylander & a P38 on the laning trip that I led. Hopefully a larger number will mean a similar ratio as this years event.

Name tags would be great. Cos, wiv my Alzheimers I had forgotten who was who by 11pm Friday.

WLM laid on a great Disco and played some cracking tunes. shame he forgot to bring the box with the C&W records, :D Get him booked, quick..

cinema tent was awesome.

Maybe less chasing cows round a field, at 07:00 on a sunday morning..
whats a record?

I sort of thought people would get it. I think I'm suffering from sun stroke :D

I'm in the north so I could be a stop off for people coming from far north. Others could do the same by stopping off at someone's in the south...... Well it makes sense in my world. ;)

No I don't think we said hello, I guess you were busy :)

All I can say is guys if you can make it, then come to the next one. If your shy and reserved cough cough like er us, you don't HAVE to get involved with everything. Just kick back and relax. I spent some quality time with the young ones and poppy who since her YouTube success I've hardly seen. Pops and Jess don't do landrovers or roughing it in a tent but that absolutely loved it and would love to make it next year too. :D
