Hey all this is my first post in the forum, (I suspect a pretty stupid one at that) so bear with me.

I recently bought a 1995 Disco 3.9L v8 ES from a friend and have well and truly bitten by the Landover bug!

My Friend who sold me the car advised that it was in need of a new fan belt – which I thought would be pretty easy to replace. I got myself a Haynes manual but cannot find a single mention of a fan belt in the manual?

Is the fan belt called something else on a landrover?? #I found drawings of drive belts, air con belts etc but not fan belt?

I fear I am being really stupid here but would appreciate a bit of clarification on this!

Thanks in advance!

We may call it a fan belt as that is all it did in the old days drive the water punp with it's fan.
Haynes call it a drivebelt as Lr no doubt, the various belt configs are shown in the manual.

Serpentine belt, again an unofficial term because of the way the drivebelt winds it's way around the various pullys, a term not used by Land Rover in their discriptons.
