Hi people, just brought some sexy looking chequar plating for my car (black not chavvy silver)

Just noticed a kinda knocking sound from front off side, not all the time just occasionally when i turn! sounds like a bull joint or wishbone-yes I know the landy doesn't have either of them but that's what it sounds like! Any ideas?? Any volunteers wanna show me how to fix it lol?? (I ain't even got a highlift jack) wink wink Brian or Chris

I'm back on Friday 5th so if anyone fancies a bit of laning on the Saturday 6th or sunday 7th that could be good :)

I doubt I will be able to meet you that time, but I will see.

Well it looks like it's just me & you Brian on the 7th (do a lane, then get a beer & roast) via halfords for some diff oil :)

We got to caravan at 5pm on Monday and by 4.59pm on the Tuesday I handed the keys back at reception and said "I'm checking out" they said was everything ok .....before they finished there sentence I had mounted the grass verge and done a u-turn and was on the M2 (couldn't of done that without my 2" lift)

Shame to hear about the holiday. If there is only 2 of us I would prefer to spend the time working on the landy. I need to get a decat pipe and fit it to try and get some of the power back.

Why don't we get together for a beer on Sunday instead?

Can't seem to find a decat for my 200! I need to solve my diff oil leak today, am gonna check breather cos apparently if its blocked the air will just push out thru the gasket!

A beer on Sunday is good, I will text ya!

Someone said to me once that the disco decat pipe was the same as a defender, have you phoned John Cradocks, they seem to have some weid and wonderfull stuff Let me know how the decat goes, I am thinking of doing it as well, I got a blanking kit on my xmas list from the kids, as well as a A bar, and.... and.....and.

Hopefully get my water pump done at the weekend,

Thats not good, sorry to hear that, was it the place or the weather, I have spoken to are thinking about cutting thier holiday as its so bad and they in wales.

Yep it is the same, but you have a bit more noise as the pipe is solid (no flexie bit in the middle)
Fitted one to the wife's disco, it's a little crisper & the turbo spins up easyer.

I've also fitted the Defender De-cat paipe to my Disco...as above, the only OTHER difference is the cost! (Defender non-flexi is much cheaper than the Flexi-disco)

Well i had a strange day yesterday. I tried to repair the Landy and i was successful!

And not wanting to annoy Stu but changing the water pump was very easy with no drama, also changed the aux belt and tension.
Plus picked up a second hand 300tdi alternator so chucked that on and now the battery is charged and i can see in the dark again! :D

Just one word....... but I am too much of a gentleman:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:, fancy having a go at mine?, lol, now one screw is rounded......... going to go to get some new screws tomorrow, and have a good go at the weekend, I can see the grinder comming out here. then it will all be done, until the lift turns up.:), thats if:mad::mad:.

I may cancel my order with the guy, get the money back through Paypal. and say sod him.

So you've got all bar one of the 10mm bolts out? Best suggestion would be try and hammer a smaller ring spanner on then shock it loose with a hammer. Or try mole grips on it.

Picked up my decat today from Island 4x4 in Kent for the princly sum of £18 including the gasket.

Cant wait to fit it now. :)

All fitted in an hour or so with nothing more than a very dirty face. Why have I decided to do all these jobs under the truck when it's covered in filth.

Engine seems a little more lively now so money well spent I think. :)
