Been trawling ebay the last week or so and managed to get together a right pick n mix 2" lift kit :D

Front Shocks - Terrafirma
Front Springs - Scorpion
Rear Shocks - De Carbon
Rear Springs - Britpart

:cheer2:

Shocks are all new, springs 2nd hand. Just got to wait for them all to turn up and get busy :D

Meh :D

I have been buying 2nd hand suspension parts for years, never had any trouble ;) They was cheap so if they are **** i will just bin them :D going to be no worse the ones on there :D

Went out this morning and grabbed a few more cylinders from BOC. Got back and well, I've given up again on the welding :( Fookin rain came and then I got serious eye ache. Welding helmet is ****ed so need to go and grab a new one :( :( :(

You must have nearly welded the whole thing up !!!!! would have been quicker to reshell it lol :D

I need to do the front inner arches on mine but as its not structual i cant be arsed  thankfully it had a new floor just before i bought it :)

I bought new ones and they were ****, sagged after a couple of thousand miles.
all yours are decent makes so should be ok.

Yer I think sagging is the main problem with springs (that and snapping lol) and you dont know until they are fitted but its got to be an improvement over standard ones that have done 140k :D

Right dislocation cones and some extended bumpstops next :D

I would rather buy an original un botch example as I have done and do the repairs myself so I know they are done to how I want them to be.

I hate seeing vehicles that have had mastic and decorators caulk applied over holes, etc....

I want to keep it so it needs to be done properly the first time around.

Just waiting on some decent weather again

So I get the **** weather coz I want to do something to my land rover.

I got totally ****ed off today. Resulted in tools being thrown about. Welding upside down is a pig and it turned out a total and utter ****ing hash up. If the guy that employs me for my fabrication services saw it, he'd **** himself laughing then fire me :(

This will be THE LAST ****ING VEHICLE I WELD!! I wish I'd never started the ****in thing. Completely ****ed off :(

And to make matters worse, while I was trying to weld upside down, something has moved and the bloody body mounts don't ****in line up!!!!!!

I'm leaving it for the time being now as I've got other things to do, it has taken up too much of my time and money and nothing is still done. 2 steps forward, 3 steps back :(

Yep welding ain't easy hence why I rarely do any, I pay Mike instead cause he's sooo much better at it lol.
My attempts even on think 6mm+ stuff is ****.

Think the show is gonna creep up on me a bit quick with only a month to go. So much stuff to do to Tiny before then.

If I could roll it upside down then I'd put a lovely weld on it but I can't

Take a break, leave it for a couple of days and then go back to it fresh :)

Hi Mark, this aint a sales pitch, but if any of your guys want the waffle boards i will keep them a set or two back, and you can pay as and when, because i am going to start to sell them.
£ 45 quid a set 1000 x310x50mm. got five sets to shift.

Geoff, it might be worth cutting a pair up to make some hi lift bases as I'll need one when I collect my hi lift xtreme next week.

Mad Hat Mans are still sat here gathering dust :-|

I think that is going to be the plan. If not I will end up getting my gas axe from the workshop and cutting it up, putting it on the tipper and taking it down to the breakers

OK Matt, lie down take deep breaths, and visualize tranquil places. There feeling better already. NO!! STOP thinking about welding, think about big breasted girls with tight hot pants.
Scuse me just got to pop out for a minute.
