what time you thinking tomorrow morning MAtt?

6am bright and early...:blabla:

Nah, say 10:30 ish ish ish.

Got some massive panda eyes from today. Been trying out some new welding equipment and used some glasses that has left me with quite a lot of artificial sun tan

Guys shall we move the banner and sticker discussion over to this thread?

Sticker wise I think just the cheap ones that you get free in magazines, when you join clubs, etc would be best.
Make them cheap enough and it doesn't really matter if they get damaged cause we can just order new ones.

A little bit of change today. Stu found my plasma cutter     My arch then disappeared then a new bit got stuck in.

As you can see from the pics..... I need a new floor too as that was rotten to buggery!

Now I basically need to get the inner sill supported and weld that in place then weld the outer arch in place (where the door opens) then get it all seam sealed and painted. Will then order a replacement rear floor at the end of the month :( but in the meantime there is the other side to be getting on with :D

Wow Matthew, your truck looks so good I never thought there would be so much rust.

That's the problem with aluminium bodies..... you don't realise the mess under it!!

It has ****ed me off to say the least but to be honest, I don't reckon any other one would be much better. They're all only getting older.

Someone we know has vinyl cutting equipment, to do sign writing on vans.....And he happens to do his own Landrover decals for this disco.....

It's the reason I brought mine, it was a little tatty in places but all major welding had been done.

It's a bit sad to have it on the drive in bits really. :(

I'd planned to go and do a bit of work in Hadleigh tonight..... Woops, van got to the end of the road and died :( I think it is finally dead.

Now have no transport :( :( :(

AND I've just been outside sorting a few more bits on the disco and we didn't leave enough metal on the plate that we put in today. With the rubber trim on underneath the wheel arch, I still have about an inch gap :(

An inch gap !!!!!! that@s a lot, the over lap on mine was about 1/2" and the rubber strip fits quite well, if i remember right, that means your external skin is about an inch further away from the inner skin then mine , I'll have a look tomorrow when i get home.

Surely the overlap would not have to be that great.
