Got ya no mate never taken one out myself but can't be that difficult, just posted in the defender thread as I've been told the input shaft is different on the auto tranny, awaiting an answer from James hopefully will give you a shout once he confirms

Doing some reading looks like a simple job to remove, going laning on sat with the lads then Sunday will prob have to take this miss us out for dinner,:doh: maybe do it one day next week or next weekend?

Yeah you need the 3rd party Maping software (licence), and the GPS softwear(liceance) from MM, its about £25 in total, when you connect the pda to your PC and its on line, it will tell you the software you need.

Depending on what people think I propose meeting at McDonolds Braintree for 09:00, quick breakfast / coffee and on the road promptly by 09:30

I'm happy if folks want to meet up earlier, pls post view / suggestions.
If not 09:00 for 09:30 it is.

Looks like route may have to be done on paper which will slow us down a little, but its not a big deal.
But if you do get it working then all good.

As a basic plan how about laning between 09:30 & 14:30 and then move onto some fords. Good Easter is supposed to be good and terling still seems to be at 2ft.

Re lunch I might just bring some sandwiches & a flask. Could then park up around lunch time.

Don't worry Geoff. I'll use the paper route. I've also got a recent OS map for the aera we will be in.

Bit annoyed I'll be missing the laning day, poxy bolt!
Knackered bolt removing tools arrived today so that should mean I'll have it sorted Saturday. Then either offroading Sunday or changing the head gasket on my corrado.

Coolant gauge not working, need to find fault, fix AND test BEFORE I got laning as I don't fancy breaking down!
