I brought a kit off eBay and it wad just advertised as the 300 tdi

On the auto mine is locked on the flywheel via a bolt hole from a cover. The Haynes manual is very usefull.

You can borrow mine. If your doing it at the weekend I could come over and drink your tea and take the ****. :)

I don't know how to do it so you can come over and do it for me while I drink tea and praise :)

Laning on Saturday is definitely out for me.
I can do a few hours tomorrow night or a few hours next Thursday night.

Any takers?

Found this after my little accident when I flooded the inside of the landy.....

Much higher and I'd have needed a new engine

Snorkel is on the list :D

Snorkel is high on the list I hope lol.
I'd rate it just as high as doing the cam belt.
With regards to which belt kit I just searched '300tdi cam belt kit' on ebay.
Pretty sure it was about £65 plus postage. Make sure you get the modified lower pulley in with the kit.
Oh and I hope you crank bolt isn't as tight as mine.

Go on rub it in

If the crank bolt doesn't come undone, I'll take it back to the river and drive it in further to aid its miserable death

If you can't get it done pop down to a local garage and ask if they could loosen it off with an air gun. Then nip it up and drive back hone again.

The misery continues

One front caliper fooked, both wheel bearings fooked, swivel joint on drivers side fooked with passenger side not far behind it

This is turning into a full fooking rebuild

I've just refurbished a set of 300Tdi Disco Calipers and given them a good few coats of Red Hammerite. This was to keep the rust at bay and to make them easier to clean the mud off, more than looks, although they look good.

Had the shotblasted clean first and have fitted new pistons and seals.

Was about to stick them both on ebay for £85 the pair if your interested.

(Can help fit them and bleed your brakes if your interested)

Sorry for the Spam, but thought it might help if your gonna buy some anyway. :)
