Yup. We missed the one this Sunday just gone. Photos are on SLROC website now.

Managed to get through to the guy about the bumper. Sounds like someone who works for him is causing him some issues.

Still annoyed though as I was quite excited about tarting up the disco some more :-(

Yeah saw them, not as muddy as last time, lol.

Thats good that you got a responce, at least, did he say when?

I'll get a refund by the sounds of it tomorrow. Sounds like a guy has half inched it as the courier company didn't collect it while Ian was elsewhere.... god knows. I don't really care. I was soooooo looking forward to it with a nice pair of tree sliders! :(

On another note. EGR kit is here and ready to go on..... help  Me nuts are stuck :D Got the oxy gun to come out at some point and see if that solves it.

Got to take all the air box and flow meter out to get at the dam thing though

Evening all.

Well once again my plans are changing!
Saturday is out, we have a 3rd viewing on the house. Maybe they think it will look different on the third visit

The Disco is still down ar the garage, hoping to get it back tomorrow........

I will be at April's SLROC driving day, but won't get there until after 13:00. Hopefully less time there will mean less time to break it:D

Jack & Brian, thanks for arranging the ropes. Will sort out money to Brian on next laning trip. Hopefully soon.

So Saturday is out for me I could do an evening if anyone likes the idea?
I'm free tomorrow - subject to Disco being back from garage.
Friday night.
Or next Thursday.

On a positive note, I've rudded down, primed and painted my rock sliders :D

Wasn't booked in so they are trying to fit around other jobs. They've been pretty good to me recently, so don't want to push to much.

Obviously too good to be true :(

Always hear the same thing about laning, everyones scared of a little water. :p
Buy a snorkel!! And if you can't afford one then make one. Mine cost me £16 to make.

Got a metre length of flexi tube for 16 quid which I tiger sealed to a 200tdi airbox. Then routed it under the front wing and out the top by the window. Finally tiger sealed the end to a section of old drainpipe running up the window.
Simple really.

I have got dodgy door seals, no extended breathers and no snorkel. I also use it as a daily driver so cannot risk ****ing it up just because i fancied owning an amphibious vehicle for a few minutes....... once this disco is finished with some light offroad mods I plan to get a wrecked disco and bobtail it for real offroad use :D

Yep mine was about £20 as well :D

Obviously the safari snobs dont like it

Hey people always go on about the fact that a snorkel is used to stop water out of the Air box.... it does have an other us as well, so more reason for having one.

It helps keep the filter cleaner, well thats my thought anyway, this is how I arived at this train of thought,..... were is the Air intake, inside the wing, just above to the left of the wheel on a 300tdi, so as your romping along a dirt track and stiring up that nice big dust cloud, behind you your sucking in all that dust as well from under the wheel arch.

I may be wrong but its an other reason to think about.

I think most know my thoughts on a snorkel are known on here, I would always put one on a landy, The only thing that I would realy knock about the home made ones is their robustness as Plastics used in pipe like drain pipe are not realy robust due to being brittle, and this get worse wit exposure to uv, If you could find a metal pipe I think it would be better, yes you can replace if smashed, but I cant be arsed to do it. The top needs to be fixed.... if i remember you fixed yours now Chris,:D.

The other thing is most Homemade ones are just thrown on, but there are a few nice lone out there, and thats cause people have taken care with how they done them.

You could always look how a off the shelf one is fitted, make one for £20, then when you got the money up grade if you realy want to at a later date.

Mine basicly looks like a pikey version of Tuskenraider's.

Your comment about Sarfari snobs made me chuckle.

Yes my top is now connected properly by was of a self tapping screw lol. All I have left to do with mine is fit a proper A pillar mount as the boot lace is getting a bit tired.
