Don't have all my parts do I :rolleyes: garage is shut so I cant get my stuff off him to finish the job which I thought I would have had when I posted up.

Only so much you can do without the tools or a battery…….

Need a reciprocating saw to chop the bulkhead out and I was going to borrow his, extenuating circumstances and all that, cant do anything about the weather or him not being around when he has the bits I need.
Wouldn't expect a building job to go ahead with laying a foundation when the pit thats been dug is flooded in bad weather etc etc


I said mostly back together anyway and it is and this is yet another thread you've hijacked :rolleyes:
 
wasnt using the word here in the context you seem to expect mr thor! but hold up and i will upload some pics of my welder, i need some kind advise on the settings haha
 
These buggers, the gas reg has 1-6 on it, what should it be on? ive only got a small bottle of gas (bought it today) and dont wanna waste loads and if im welding 2mm sheet of steel what ampage should it be on? seems like theres only low and high

Dial is wire, 1, 2 are your power along with max/min

min 1 = 35
min 2 = ?
max 1 = ?
max 2 = 80

*I presume, thats how my clarke worked and then adjust the dial and it sometimes plays with the power too but #### knows :p

Your reg, no idea mine have dials on them to adjust the PSi I presume the 1-6 will be pressure settings which may be on a sticker somewhere on the welder
 
haha cheers mate. I want 35 then for thin stuff dont i? gonna have a proper play around with it tomorrow :)

The book would give the info......... but the gas gauge would be in relation to the heat/wire feed setting. Higher the heat/wire feed higher the gas setting,all in relation to either the breeze or extraction vent would create.

Dosen't look like either the heat or wire feed can be controlled independently, so getting a quality weld will be difficult
 
A horse shoe onto the bumper ?


Bumper being 4mm if HD ? and shoe being 8mm :p ? Try not to melt the bumper
