thats big enough though, isnt it james?? how thick are boot floors like 2mm?

Its not about the max power so much its more what you can turn it down to, the bigger the welder the more choice

The butters one at uni I use to weld up 5mm box with ease will do .7mm sheet too as I've tried, hell the uni tech can weld cans up with it!

30 will be low enough surely just for boot floor and to make patches for arches?? then i've got some 3-4mm thick chequered steel i wanna make use of as well?

I'm wanting to upgrade to a Migtronic, purely due to the fact that the local place has one and I like it!

£1800 new 5 years ago so looking at a second hand one at about £500 as it'll never need replacing……they weld coke can thin up to 2 inch thick with it! The guy I was speaking to told me it ****es through 1 inch on medium setting and they've never had anything thick enough to bother trying it on max with yet.

The guy uses it for his unimog to do the hiab as well as work like staircase building, generator stands etc

No that was someone else, I enquired but was a bit expensive for me

Gonna buy a cheaper one as it'll just get battered so no point buying a mint one
