hi guys
just a quick question car was down on its stops this morn but pumped up fairly quick so stuck the reader on and it came up with RL signal incorrect does this mean it needs a rear left height sensor or something different oh and vehicle has moved as well

thanks Paul

Thats what it means, but when you clear it you may not get it again for along time. Also if your rr is 1997 or later as they are not handed, you can swap the right to left and vice versa. This gives you in affect a new sensor as they are on unused tracks in the sensor. However be VERY careful when removing them as the bolts are probably rusted into the lugs of the sensor. Better to cut the bolts and gently tap out the bolts while the lug is supported on a vice or suitable setup. If the lugs do break off you can glue the sensor in place on the body. Worked for me for the last 2 months.

They always say that the vehicle has moved - ignore it.
As for your sensor it could be lots of things just caused a one-of fault. I'd ignore that as well until it starts happening regularly.
Maybe put a pair of rear height sensors on the bottom of your to-do list.

my car is reg 1997 but how can i tell if its a 1996 spec is there anything easy to tell them apart this is the second time in a couple of weeks its done it same fault came up

What he said:)

The older one has wires coming off it to plug into the loom, while the later one has the plug on the body of the sensor. But as the lads say wait until it gives regular trouble before possibly causing trouble

mine has plugs on the sensors so thats good if it does it again soon i will swap them over see if that helps thanks for the help guys
