The pipes? Yeah, they were original, same coating as under the bonnet, sort of green coloured, and the bends were machine made.
I ask which side is which because I can rebuild one side with the britpart hose that has all the brackets/banjo bolt whilst waiting for the other britpart one to arrive. The britpart one ive got says left hand on it so rather than trying to work out which side it appears to fit best thought I'd ask here which is the left/right when viewing duchess.
So I can build up the passenger side if yer right...right
They both 'hug' the bush or another way to explain is the raised lip faces the bush.
Oh...They are supposed to be the other way round so it gives more clearance for articulation, you can snap the shocks if they catch on the mountings.
Oh...
I'll do it tomorrow ta
You mean cup face down Brian ???
Filling the boot with soaking wet mud probably didnt help but spot on with the washers. We both have TF HD shocks mind. They are a PIA to get over the threads. Its quite an easy one to get wrong, i seam to remember @Mark Piercy having that issue and RRdt
Ooooh, niceI'd done the fronts wrong too, sorted them but to do the rears I need to jack up the back end off the tow bar which means me being outside and it's tipping it down so that can wait.
Got on with building up the passenger side hub to completion, can't finish the driver's side until paddocks delivery arrives. Wierd why they list brake hoses as 'special order 2/3 days', but exhausts as a 'stock item ready for despatch'. Surely brake hoses would be fast moving items, not braided just standard rubber ones anorl.
Anywhoo, new hub to axle bolts, carrier bolts, brake hose, caliper and pads, reused the disc which had no wear at all and the abs sensor which removed easily, fitted a new sensor cage though as I had new ones left over from doing the fronts.
