Do Army ones count? our four man crew sleep in, on top and under ours with 3 hvm missiles a launcher unit and a sight unit, suprising how comfy you can get between two missiles and four bergans.

Very easily:
Just fitted an auxillary battery and inverter for the rear.
Battery / Solar Voltage Charger fitted.
Got lights set up.
Insulated the roof with space blanket / garage door insulation.
Will be getting a small heating system and a gravity fed water system too
I have a van 110 so it's got 6 ft of length to play with. More than enough room to sleep in and comfy too if you pad out the floor. Ply flooring, carpet on top then a fold-out roll-mat and a sleeping bag on top = a good nights sleep
If it's a 90 you have then it's a lot tougher to sleep in. But it is doable IF you insert a board between the passenger window and rear door.

Ok, not sure where to put this but i need some advice, have converted the back of the landy to sleep in but we would like an awning for the side that attatches to the landy, can anyone recommend any good ones, cause i can't help but think that oztent are really expensive! Thank you!x

Also amazing how comfy you can get between a good few bits of Bowman.
I find that keeping warm is easy when you have an exhaust extension and it doesn't half help you sleep.
why not the rear passenger seats?

cos I have a cubby box in the rear. I was going to get rid of the cubby box as I've got a spare high back seat knocking around. The missus prefers it with the 2 rear seats though.

I have slept in my 90 in the back and on my home made roof tent. In the back was just on top of my ammo boxes and cool box. I was quite comfy in the lay by on our last Herts Derbyshire trip. Poor old Gibbo Phil had bucket seats and 4 up. I was happy to sip my beer and watch a Dvd!
I have an 3 minute expedition bed which can be assembed when a tent is too much trouble or not suitable. 2 sections of tongue and groove moisture board stretching from dash to back door,air matress and sleeping bag. Makes very comfortable single accommodation!! Picture attached.More available if anyone interested!!

Whilst on route to Fort William in December 2006 in my series 3 88 hardtop and constantly breaking down myself and my brother decided to park up for the night in a large view point layby on the A82. I slept across the "deluxe" front seats inside a sleeping bag whilst wearing my army issue softie suit! my brother slept in the rear curled up inside an extreme cold weather military issue sleeping bag! This was the worst place ever to have parked, little did I realise the lay-by was extremely exposed to the severe winds! I thought it was going to blow us away! And i was freezing all night! but it didnt put me off and I would do it again - but only in extreme cases!
