Hello all, anyone come across parasitic battery drain on a discovery 3 that we've traced to circuit on facia fuse 58. TELEPHONE,MULTIMEDIACONTROL MODULE,TELIVISION TUNER. Pulling 2.7 Amps! out of battery when ignition off. A simple fix would be nice, apart from leaving fuse out. Any ideas? Thanks.

Update. Traced to DVD player supply Fuse 53. The car doesn't have a DVD player?? Investigation continues.

Just checked out AutoData and under the known fixes it states " Battery Discharged"

Cause; Instrument panel does not switch to sleep mode due to software fault.

Remedy; Re-program instrument panel with upgraded software.

Refer to manufacturer.

it affects LR3 from VIN 8A442165 and upwards

If it is this, may be something they should have done on a recall, may be worth trying to see if you can get it done for free as they are aware of the fault.

Thanks for your input lads, vin no. before autodata quoted problem. I don't think the 27ecu's would like a battery disconnect switch and then there is the hassle of opening the bonnet and removing (awkward) covers to switch off every night. Just to complicate things the fault is now intermittant! Ahhhh.
