Checked all that all seems fine. Compression came back ok. Attached 2 photos took inlet manifold off to check connections and glow plugs

I dont understand fuel is getting to injectors and not firing. Only thing is a crank position sensor is new I marked the old location and put new on is as it but would this really stop it from starting?

Compression is "ok" what are the readings?

I had issues with a DSE yesterday, after replacing the pump..

I gave it 1/2 throttle and gave 'er a turn, spluttered into life..

Failing that a snort of ether, just make sure she's turning over when given the snort ;)

I hope you did not undo the bracket for the crank sensor? If you did getting it back with the right clearance is a palava

^^^ tolerance on cps movement is very small you’d need special tool.

In photo looks like your glowplug control isn’t plugged in (above starter) o_O:rolleyes:

Cps will cause a non start if the signal is missing.... You didn't move the bracket did you

Sh#t I did remove the bracket fu#k as it was ****ed and marked its place but could be the issue.

How do I dig myself out of this hole please?

Anyone have special tool I could borrow?

Never been down that rabbit hole but now you know a potential issue. Best read RAVE. You've got it all marked up so it cannot be far off. The sensor needs to be close to the teeth so maybe check it is all the way in?

Remove the starter motor and you may be able to get a feeler gauge in there. Never tried it but it looks as if it might be possible.

Turn the engine until one of the timing pips is showing at centre of the sensor position. You will need a light and mirror for this. Use old sensor if in good condition and superglue a shim on the end 0.060" or 1.5 mm thick, fit bracket loose and bolt sensor to bracket. Push bracket and sensor in until shim contacts timing pip, tighten bracket. Remove old sensor and fit new one. Job done.
