Steggels is aroind 240 HP and thats plenty, been aroumd it in person and offroaded with him in it. Pulls preety hard even with 37's and sounds sweet !! Definately one im doing in the future. He uses the daf 42 box which I think hes crunched 1 already though. L230 is the best transfer box made in my opinion although will struggle above 250 - 300 which is also probably around the limit of a standard LR chassis

He has hd springs on the front standards on the back and hydro assist but thats mainly for the 37's

Do it and dont listen to doc he's mad

Lt230 with straight 2x4 or 4x4 conversion is allegedly good for 1000bhp and I know of several offroad racing a lt230 with 500bhp chevys and surviving race after race with just a oil change.

I wish I had you tubed my old beasts I made but couldnt be asked but hey who cares, must say I wish I filmed my last well turned up cummins 6 wheeler out accelerate the mrs Audi and the look of a mini cooper drivers face when I let him go past then I put my foot down :D

You mean getting rid of the diff in the lt230 ? I know its a cracker of a TF box but didnt think 1000 was possible :D

My plan is a portal 130 with 6bt cummins but thats years in the future :p

Funny i was thinking of building a 130 dcpu rather than butchering my V8 110 with a galv'd chassis...
There was a really nice bright yellow 130 dcpu, and for the life of me cant find it now. Might not be on this forum. Think it had a chevy V8 in it. Portals as well if memory serves..

Thats my plan. Double cab pickup with a custom tray, using ideas ive gained here in aus. Portals 1 to hold power 2 ground clearance 3 beastyness :p
my plan for the tray is 2 set ups that are interchangable. 1 overlanding set up 1 work set up. But itll be 2 years at least untill I can start it :(

This will be what youre thinking of.
Projekte

His 130 is my insiration :p

They are very nice, but this was the one i remembered. My mistake, no portals though...

I was going to do a 130 with cummins and Dana 60's with made in house(except heat treatment) portal boxes as a show vehicle but I'm getting out of lr stuff so can't warrant it
