Well my identity crisis continues!! Just received the new flange and it's the multi spline type not the 4 splines like mine.
To be fair I should have waited until I got it off before I ordered then I could have called them and checked first, but I put all the correct details in to the website, so is there a mixture of splines on these or did I just order the wrong part?!!
Going to give them a call in the morning I'm sure they will swap it but just frustrating as wanted to get it done tomorrow
That is a twenty five year old vehicle, people often change gearboxes or axles because they have worn out or broken. Might be worth getting the actual numbers of the boxes to use when ordering parts.

I guess it has probably been changed a few times I will give them a call in the morning thanks James at least if I cannot explain the part I now have the number.

Just a quick thanks to JamesMartin
After I received the wrong drive flange I spoke to the supplier this morning JGS4x4 and all has been sorted really good service they found the correct part with help from JamesMartin's part number he supplied me and they are posting out with a return label for me to return the other part. I was expecting to pay to return as I had not removed the part first so partly my fault for not knowing the part I actually needed.
So big thanks to JamesMartin for your knowledge on these parts and thanks to another James at JGS4x4 for resolving the issue quickly and to my satisfaction.
It's also given me another couple of days to get the bloody seal out!!

Right just to throw a complete spanner in for all the experts :) I own a genuine pre production 110 defender, only discovered when i looked at the log book finding a 19J engine number and thought bugger its been re-engined, however on checking the engine the number is correct, a 200tdi, gold block all correct lump stamped as a 19J, turns out landrover had approx a dozen on the production line destined to be 19J but at the last minute trial fitted the 200tdi, only one other has surfaced still on the road and 2 of the original engines from long dead landys... so the defender didnt start at engine number 11Lxxxxxxxx as previously stated :) , just starting out on a full rebuild, totally standard she has never been modified in any way, axle numbers, engine , gearbox n chassis all match as she left the factory.... should make for a nice historic build

Cheers Steve
