Hi afternoon all. my 200 tdi desided not to start this morning at the turn of the key it sounds like a chugger chugger tick tick then nothing. A nice problem to solve so hopefully i can have some input to share on here myself as the fun and games beggin. i've read other battery threads first and a reply mentioned.. a check list which im hoping to start asap because its pouring down ATM.. my partner as said that the keeps getting a electric shock from the passenger door (could it be the electric window electrics) ???

(i can leave this thread open and input as im solving my problem i dont mind adding pics as and when its werth it the only input i have so far for you guys is that i will recommend ridgeway 4x4 in swindon as they have been helpful and proffesional helping me with parts so far)

Simple questions - simple answers please.

When you try to start the engine, does it turnover but not fire OR does it not turn over?

it sounds like it wants too but hasnt got the guts too just had door off electric windows all connected ?

Battery by the sounds of it, is your interior light staying on since you removed the door?

Hasnt got the guts to what ? Turn over the engine ? Turn over enough , or fast enough to start ? Have you tried jump cables or another battery ?

ive only had my landy a month now so finding my way around. ok the battery was flat but why???i drove my kids to football practice last night. The B1 fuse has blown and the sterios unit (jvc cd) has packed up. Is anyone familiar

better still is is something to worry about asap? While looking at the off side front door thanks to the how too threads the door card was of with in minutes. The metal runner that holds the glass to the regulator was lying in the bottom of the door can you buy them seperate? cheers guys im learning fast

b1 fuse is stereo / 5amp another post mentioned that the towing fuse could be the fault i've removed that for now to see if the battery still holds charge others wise back to square one cheers guys

Have you tried charging the battery overnight or starting it with jump cables from another car?
