Seen that before a few times, its a nice truck but a V12 diesel definitely wouldn't fit in the engine bay
scale it down for that rat rod look. Series Cab fitted like would be kind of cool

Is there going to be any original series left?
I'm building a full roll cage so wont have the standard cab on it, I have copied the rear of the roofline into the concept cage/roof though as I do like the profile it has
Would love an old peterbilt rat rod or hot rod but you wont find one in the uk!

Soon the only thing land rover will be the forum he posts on
Find a old junk yard. Seen some pictures of old UK brand trucks from late 40's, and 50's would make some really cool looking rat rods. Just take the body and do a re chassis, motor etc. But time and money is limiting factor. But there are some way cool truck cabs
Constructive noob is constructive........
What does it say in the first post ? Does no one read before commenting on build threads FFS
First post "Picked up the 454 and 8v71 today, the 454 has been fully rebuilt and honed by the previous owner and just needs new rings on the pistons before it can be assembled"
Your post 75 on from there
Read before you post! I am fed up of my build threads being clogged up with useless bull**** from noobs and nobbers.......although the ones from the nobbers are usually amusing
Emphasis on the word you. I may be a noob, but if it was me I'd be doing it myself (having a pro do it since I'm such a noob) unless I trusted the previous owner implicitly, and from what I could see there didn't look to be much of a cross hatch, hence the question.

I'm going to make this quite clear seeing as you don't seem to be able to grasp this concept
IT HAS BEEN HONED
If I state it has had some work done to it its had the work done to it.......the guy I picked it up from was an engine builder and its been to my local engine builder too as he sourced the rings for me, again you'd know that had you bothered to read.
You cant make assumptions off dark photos which have been liberally coated with oil! AS PER THE POST I MADE!
Those bores are literally dripping with 10-40 because when you put in pistons you coat those bastards up like you haven't paid for the oil!
I don't give a flying fcuk if your engine is being professionally built because you're incapable of carrying out your own work but I'm doing my own.....and this engine has had every bit of work done to it that has been stated if not I wouldn't have touched it in the first place.
Now as before take your bull**** and shove it back up your arse because I'm not interested in it on my thread
Good luck with the build, hopefully you'll not explode before you finish
This is a stop gap engine for me which I actually got off rods n sods last month, I paid £1600 for this anyway which included the blower and all the new bits from bearings to intake manifold.
