I've not had any contact from Rick this weekend
.marcinbrighton = i got a text of Rick yesturday asking me to check a few bits and bobs but not really heard much other than that he has tested the ECU and BECM and i aint sure what the results are as yet etc...
i hope it get fixed too as im sick of seeing it sat dead 6 weeks its been stood and only owned 6 1/2 weeks .......
I've already mentioned about checking for continuity from ECU to coils....If its no spark at the plugs then there must be a break in the ire that sends the signal to the coil packs It used to be siple when there was one set of points controlling the spark but now there is a combination of crank sensor, rev counter.lambda sensors, knock sensor, and temperature sensors. It could be any one of those also the wire sending the signal to the coil packs so i think a continuity check on all the above is needed as maybee you fried a wire in the loom when it shorted. this is just a desperate attempt to try and help you but all the above may have been tried.
No Rob tried Sassanach's on his car - Sassanach then refitted his own when he got it back and it was proved good.....Lost track a bit but didn't Sassenach try your fusebox on his and it worked?
Let's wait and see what Rick finds and then take a restock from the beginning, following the timeline through.

Still no news not sure if no news is good news in this case though...
im lost what it can be but all im thinking and dont even know if its possble or has any of these ethier..
1, fuseable links somewhere ??
2, Blown alternator possibly ??
3, Another fuse box
the reason im saying fusebox to be honest is this bear with me ok....
Ok what if.... the short happend on the bottom of the fuse box, o the brown and green wire which i believe goes direct to the EBCM and has continuity through it to the ebcm from the fusebox end, but it blew th 50a fuse when it shorted Maxi fuse 2 so,, YES i did try sasasneks full fusebox inc relays and fuses and all working fine on his car after a new ebcm and fuse had been replaced and ** yes it still did not start*** but since then i refitted m original thinking it made no difference but heres my thinking what if i had two faults, as i refitted m original fusebox, then a crank sensor and two coil packs then, a engine ECU and snced in as well.... what if i had blown the fuse box and engine ecu, refitted my fusebox ie still blown, then fitted an ecu coil packs etc and still have a blown fuse box whats the chances do you think ????
Rob
still no news from rick as yet
That's what I thought neo your Ebcm ECM and fuse box need testing on another car , to be sure
I think Rick has his BECM and ECM, just trying to get Rick and Rachel (my RR - no comments - I'm sure I'm not the only one on here that's named their p38!!) together.
fusebox as my last post...?
Na Tis ok I said test all of it ages ago, yes mine a v reg I call it Vanessa as that's my bosses name and she a right bitch
