Heres a piccy of a fuel pump thing that is attached to the lightweight.

  1. is it meant to be there
  2. it is wired directly to the battery with a switch lying on the floor, ware should it be wired to?

its not some kind of fuel heater is it??? or a
di-lithium crystal

No as i said its a Fuel pump thingey, cos when you switch it on it pumps fuel. is it sum sort of range rover fitment that has been brought along with the conversion.

hmmm..ave you got two tanks thern?...does it pump between them. i remember seeing a lightweight that did this once but i dont know why.. long range or somethinmaybe

No there is only one thak,

On the pump thing there is one pipe cumming from the tank, one going to each carb, and the wires.

It looks like the bottom comes off, could be a filter inside.

The injun has no lift pump so i think it is to get the fuel to the carbs so that it will start up, but im not sure.

shirley the carbs have float chambers fer this very reason?
what abart one of them daft things thats is meant to improve yer fuel comsumption????

Of corse they have float chambers. But it starts better if you turn it on first.

Maby sum numpty added it cos they are a numpuy.

It has one of them daft things thats is meant to improve yer fuel comsumption, called a fuel cat???????

I will try to clean the crud off it and read the label later.

you say the injun int got a lift pump.. so how does yer fuel get from the tank to the injun????
