oh bummer hit the wrong button! Anyway to continue,
1 remove side brackets off 100" chassis
2 cut and shut to 88"
3 remove rear chassis legs behind rear box crossmember
4 weld on 2 outriggers for mounting series bulkhead ( measurement same as 90" bumper mtg to front bulkhead mtg point)
5 fit bulkhead and floors and seat base to determine positioning of rear mtg's
6 once body mounts are sorted time to move onto column mtg etc
All in all very labour intensive.
 
cuttin a chunk out of the middle of the chassis and sticking it back together
changing (possibly fabbing new) out riggers to make it the same width as the lighty body
grafting the body on using home made plates and ties
other things include:
prop shafts
brakes (making the peddle box fit the bulk head)
wiring loom
trans tunnel
probably altering bulkhead
fuel source

one of my mates done a s3 on a rangey chassis and it took him almost every weekend for over 2 years
 
I was going to do it with the chassis that ive just sold, but decided that i didn't have the time to do it. If i had it 2 years ago i would have done it.
 
Lazy if you don't mind me asking, what did you give for it? I've got one and was thinking of letting it go thats all and wondered what sort of money to ask fer it
 
Right I'm about to have a nervous brake down with this hybrid malarkey, so I've decided to drag the old 2.25 petrol that Ive had in the shed for too long and stick it in, I'm reckoning about half a shift to stick it in.

what i want to know is, do you guy's think that it would be more desirable with the 2.25 in and would it be worth more?

And i have a buyer for the V8, a guy i know wants to put in to a viva, hmmm?
