so theres no difference in hitting someone at 95mph or 65mph?????
i don't suppose there is much difference in stopping distance between 95mph and 65mph either?

In a discovery, not really, no. You're F*&^%d either way.

The second point is a separate issue, hence why I included the bit about when no one else is within striking distance.

I'm finding this thread amusing. So many people so quick to get on their high horse and condemn but who among us can say hand on heart, that they drive with awareness, courtesy and to the best of their ability all the time?

We're all human. We make mistakes but the point is, it's possible to push certain limits without being a complete idiot and it's also possible to be a complete idiot within limits...

I dont no what your all moaning about.. 95mph ... get on the german autobahn , done 176 mph in me mates porker , ye baby.....:D

That's good you understand that your mods make it less safer than a standard discovery so don't do 95mph, there are a few that don't realize that.

I'm not using the disco on a daily basis either, it's only for green lane days and a bit of off roading, i think it will be expensive to insure once i do all the intended mods so i go for limited mileage.

TBH since I put winch bumper/steering guard on mine there has been a noticeable increase in understeer

There's a difference??
That's a serious reply, I drive the motorways daily, I'm not taking the **** ;)

agree...:) its also the old boys , that enter the motorway at 30mph that drive me mad .... and then sit at 40mph in the middle lane for 50 mile...
