Britpart springs are actually meant to be alright, the only thingonly thing about HD's is they usually raise the ride height and are harsh if you don't have extra weight on

Painted the calipers in the week and my uncle spent most of he morning showing me how to free up the pistons
New pads fitted, brakes bled
Also fitted the new timing belt and started cleaning up the engine
Well pleased with the way the Ali cleaned up
Sent my youngest down to get pasties for dinner, she did not disappoint
Took out the battery to find the box in need of an overhaul, I'll just add it to the list

Started today by cleaning and painting the exhaust manifold
Then the rocker cover
Cleaned and painted one side of the block
Then we removed the rear axle for cleaning and painting
Rear shocks and springs are fcuked
Just surface rust underneath, happy days
Now I need several hours of daylight with a wire brush to get the chassis painted

Thanks mick, I've got a big tarp for the rain but it was effin cold yesterday

Today started well, engine block cleaned and painted
Then it took fooking ages with hacksaw hammer and fire to get the bolt and bush out of the wish bone
Then I found a small hole when I started cleaning the chassis
So I investigated further and then was one on the the other side
And it got bigger
And bigger
And fooking bigger
Looks like the welder is coming out on Sunday, yippie fooking do dah

Spent most of the morning expanding the mess the tin worm left in the chassis, bastard awkward to get down to good metal with the grinder
Had to crack the dremmel meal out
As you can see it was a bitch to get a decent weld, so I went for the weld the life out of it technique
And adapted a 6mm steel bracket I found in the shed for extra support
Cut a big old patch welded and painted
While I was under the landy freezing my potatoes off, my uncle put the exhaust manifold and starter back on
