Knocked up some brackets for the rear beacons from some ali L section. Couple coats of CIO and all done.

Also decided to go for a single RAC Parts 3" snorkel, I mocked up a 4" snorkel and it looked a little too large... Either way the RAC snorkel will be an improvement on the old set up as that was around 2.70". Without the snorkel now it is a little more spritely and a little less smokey!

That ∆∆∆∆
Do that :D:D:D

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: may have been :D:p:p:p

Cheers :D

Sadly I cannot weld! But I do have a mate that can (fixed me doors) so he shall be doing the welding.

All made of 1.5mm mild steel exhaust parts so should do the job well!

Tell ya with out the snorkel it comes on boost a fair bit faster!! Got to actually drive the ****er for once :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

So what you need is a servo actuated flap that opens the air inlet at a place closer to the air filter when using on road and closes when going and doing dirty stuff. Simples.

Cheers

@neilly dont start :p already been through the idea, quite tough to make it water tight!

Tbh 3.5" (ID) raised intake mating to a 95mm induction pipe direct to the airbox with minimal bends should do the trick. As you know already whittled out the airbox too.

Been lookong at BAS MAF adjustment device too, may be worth it...

Yeah, but what an awesome idea, a rotating snorkel top, so that when you go through a deep water splash it can be rotated to the back , but then re positioned to give max air flow.........Go on, you know you love it, plus another switch......:p:p:p

Cheers

New 90mm induction pipe to match the huge snorkel. It makes a lot of turbo noise now :D:D:D. Fair improvment over the old induction pipe, comes on boost quicker and hits full boost much faster too, which is nice!

Annoyingly due to the size of it, I've had to order another tight 90 degree bend for the snorkel as I couldnt run the intake the way I wanted. Makes it a little more expensive as more welding and more bends involved but hey its custom work haha

Tweaked and cut the snorkel today, looks better and not so bloody huge when adjusted better lol sadly my full 90 degree bend will not fit at all. I have to use two "tight" 90 degree bends so the 90mm induction pipe can be fitted properly. Got some nice look hexagonal mesh to cover the intake end. May look quite nice when done! Maybe...

Do you think I'm a bit obsessed with air flow?:p

Also on a side note I did a "quick fit" of the lightbars I've had sitting for months on end. Not done the wiring properly as it'll be changed in the near future anyway when the switch pod goes in. All I can say is they are beyond bright :eek::p:cool::cool: I'll get some pics up tomorrow when I finish the wiring :)
