I hope you dont mind me asking but i wondered why you've decided on td5alive to do the remap, rather than dynachip? Is it because of the turbo upgrade? cheers bud!

Mainly because the map is included with the cost of the turbo and id rather have the guy thar supplies the turbo supply the map! Same as if I was going for Allisport or Alive kit.

Just to add there is absolutely nothing wrong with Dynachip, he did my 90 and thats been running like a dream since!

Havnt decided yet, was going to speak to José closer to the time, choose the best one for what I want. From what ive read probs the VNT

Fitted and balanced! Shockingly only used a tiny amount of weight, at least 4 times less than my 265/75 STTs on Boosts.

They look amazing. Where did you get them from if you don't mind me asking? I was going to get some sawtooths for mine but these look better

Confirmation received! It's being delivered at around 9am tomorrow, I have booked the day off work to get cracking! Got a few bits to fit straight off the bat, like the new alloys/tyres, EGR Blank, RTC Steering Damper and a couple other bits. Also going to remove the turbo heat shield and the acoustic cover (they don't really make bugger all difference). If I have time I may get started on removing the inlet manifold for a bloody good scrub and refit.

Though first thing will be to pull up all the carpet and double check for any rust issues. Didn't find any major signs on inspection when I viewed though doesnt hurt to double check! If there is any it will be sanded down, treated (Fertan), sealed and painted. As well as generally going over the whole thing.

Got it booked in at CSK for Stage 2 Dintrol at a very good price of £250! When I had my 90 done it was £500!

Also provisionally sold the the IFor Williams cover but need something to replace it before I buy the pricey lockable cover... All the tilts and covers seem to be around £300 - £500 which is too much for a 'stop gap' item. So I think I might try and make one. I have some good quality 600D Cordura at home which should be up to the job. Just to keep rain/water off anything I transport in there. Should be able to make for around £40 which would be nice!

So from tomorrow I will have a few bits for sale which I will confirm then/Weds but so far -

Genuine HD Wolf wheels in white with some almost new Insa Sahara tyres fitted
LR 110 Mid-Box
LR Cat/DPF Pipe
Alloy Gearstick and Difflock knobs

Let me know if interested ill put them aside for you.

Have you considered to give the Wolf + 285/75R16s a shot?
Plenty of guys in the US run that combo

They are too narrow. Cooper state that these tyres should only be fitted to a minimum of a 7.5" wheel. The Wolfs are 6.5" i believe where as my Bowlers are 8" so ideal.

Yes, no question they are outside most manufacturers recommendations, is just that plenty of guys run them that way with good results. Also, the narrow rim retains the bead quite well.

Anyway, what matters the most in this cases is not tyre width, but actually the angle the bead enters the rim. This is a combination of tyre width but aso sidewall height.
In my geekness, I once made a table that gives an aproxímate bead angle for most common LR rim widths and tyre sizes. Considering most tyre manufacturers specs, an angle between 10 to 12º might be ideal, but up to about 16º is also possible:

Hmmm!! Thats pretty useful!

Tbh I was always going to buy the Bowlers, just not right now is all.

In other news it has arrived!! Well at 9am this morning but ive been doing stuff to it :D

CHUNKY! Except me bloody wheel nuts havnt arrived!

Second one ive done and everytime i smash a knuckle and it kills!! Worth it though 10x easier to drive.

Only thing ive noticed is that the difflock light isnt coming on? Any ideas?

Far as I can tell the difflock works, jacked up front wheel, spins - difflock off.
Diffllock on - no spin

Nice, would love to have a 110, but the prices are crazy here in PT.
Ever had the chance to measure the STTs? Thanks.

Thank you very much.
Was expecting them to be a little taller. My 255/85R16 KM2 came at 33.5", inflated, out of the car
