Hi, what are the prefared anti theft methods.

I am going to fit a battery isolater, an engine imobilser, probably some sort of steering wheel device and have seen a box that fits over all the pedals.

The clutch hydraulic cut off switch looks a good one as well but were do you stop?

Regards

I think one of the best visual and practical deterents is the Disklok.... Disklok Steering Wheel Lock

PS...:welcome2:, you can expect some stick if you don't search, but we all got it at first... unless anyone is perfect? :)

What...? You let the misus in your landy... Shanks pony or the bus and make sure she has loads of shopping

Buy a big dog.

Teach dog to sleep n the rear of your Landy at night.

Guarantee it won't get nicked.

I remember many years ago a mate of mine in Liverpool did the same and mentioned it to the local scallies. One of them asked..... Can the dog put out fires? :D

am back on merseyside in a couple of weeks, so 110 has had some theft precautions done to it ready - 2 x battery kill switches (both hidden and Hella heavy duty), 2 x hidden fuel cut offs (electric and mechanical), full cover for pedals (5mm alloy plate with 6mm steel surround and heavy duty insurance approved lock) and will be removing steering wheel each evening.

Fit a Tracker.
By that I mean actual TRACKER as it's the only one that can't be disabled by the jamming devices. Also it has battery backup so will still work if the battery is disconnected.
There ARE places to fit it where the thieves won't find it in a Land Rover, although early models may be a problem in this area.
It saved my Defender when it got nicked a couple of years ago, and they cought the thieves too....although they got bail and one disappeared, the other got community service.

i have bought a VT310 GPS tracker with a SIM card. I have ask the car anytime where it is, and turn it off (i kill the fuel pump) if desired. Or I am close enough with a baseball bat.

The device is fairly cheap and semi easy to install.
