@sueg you need to give us more info on what your mechanic has tested and how!...it's not adding up...sorry to say...engine cranks yes...fuel pump supplys fuel yes?...no power to coil you say ..so what does your mechanic think is the problem...he's a professional he should know...
Yes he maybe should know but he doesn't which is why I asked for advice on here. No power to coil, fuel pump no longer priming when ignition switched on although was at start of the problem and no obvious spark anywhere
 
V8 back on the road - at last. Just really a huge thank you to all of you that tried to help me sort my V8 when it wouldn't start. I don't believe I would ever have sorted it totally on my own and had to get a garage involved who still struggled to sort it. It appears it had a few faults including various electrical connections being no good, main LPG box had a burnt out section, amplifier no longer working properly etc etc etc.
