Well I best pull my finger out, just had a phone call that I was not expecting in the slightest! Richards' chassis have just rang me to say it is ready to collect
Not even got a rear axle yet, or an engine, gearbox, transfer box... oh or a way to collect it o_O I may end up having to rent a trailer.

I bought a caravan chassis off ebay, one of the modern ones that un-bolts, for £100 and it's pretty useful for stuff like this, easier to store if you can be bothered to take it to bits.

That's a good idea actually, makes a cheap trailer which is always handy to have.
Have looked at buying a trailer in the past, but it's having somewhere to keep it, I already have too much crap and no where to put it

Got the last few bits back from blasting today.
Cappings, bonnets frames.

.

And also bought a bulkhead, Oops.. :oops:o_O
Don't really know why, more of an impulse buy, but came up locally and thought bugger it I'll have it. Mind you I had agreed to buy it before I knew about the chassis coming or I might not have bothered, spend, spend bloody spend this week..
It is off a tdci, (so I would loose the air con ) but a few people have managed to fit the old dash into them, so I plan to do some converting and it'll come in for another project, for the time being, it'll probably sit in the shed for another 6 months.

They phoned me to say mine was ready wasn't expecting it for another 6 weeks so going picking it up Saturday happy days

Same here, has been 6 weeks since I ordered it and they told me 10-12 weeks.
But last time they told me 10 weeks it was 12 or 13 so wasn't expecting for a while.
So happy days here too, and may see you their Saturday.

Well if you are both going to the same place at the same time maybe you could combine the transport and split the costs ;)
But as always I bet you both live in opposite directions

When we collected the chassis for the 2a my sons g/friend's dad collected it with his scaffolding truck ( his own business ) and when he arrived there he chipped them down £300 for waiting 3 extra weeks :)

Yeah I'm hoping to get there for 10.30 ish all being well

Tell me to **** off and mind my own if you want, but have you had the OK from them about a 10:30 pick up?
Generally the owner only goes in on a Saturday and wants people their early so he can go home and spend the rest of his day as he wishes.
I have been told to be their between 8-9am, as I have done the other few times I have been for collections also.

That's what I asked them but I left my phone at home today and they have tried to contact me i will have to phone them first thing in the morning to confirm it otherwise it will be next week I pick it up

Well went and picked the chassis up this morning, happy days :)
Slight cock up with paper work, (not their) but we got their in the end.

Oh blimey Aaron,

You need to take that back mate............

They have given you an Australian chassis.

Still looks nice

Now all you got to do is get the rest of it done, LOL. looking forward to the next build,

Cheers

Haha, cheers, just the start, and the weather will be against me shortly :(

It's a good day when the chassis arrives :)
Did you hire transport in the end?

Indeed :) Just a shame I'm not really ready for it.
And I did, I ended up borrowing a trailer from a friend of a friend.
