does it matter if its brass or steel wire wheel? we have steel ones at work on the buffing wheels, could use that. for valves I mean

I just brushed up that transfer case using the wiggly thin brass coated wire type wheel (not the thick knotted type) on the car polisher we have at work, basically 1500 rpm as opposed to 10000 or whatever a grinder runs at, and it is great for removing gasket and all types of **** and doesn't remove any ali

Surely a blade will be liable to damage the surface??

why ,i dont make the stuff up it is form years of experience

I just speak from minutes of experience with a single side blade scraper tool, trying my hardest to not damage surfaces and finding it very easy to get it wrong

But, years > minutes so fair play...

lol, ive got one of the wheels for my angle grider, might be a bit hard for the head and deck mating surfaces though :p

I will try the weeny dremel brass ones though and maybe the blades when they arrive

Don't have a steam cleaner James just a cold Jetwash

Mate of mine has just bought diesel steamer says its awesome, looking forward to trying it :D

I think the speed of angle grinder is problem, that polisher machine is nice and slow.

Sorry for butting in :D

did alright today. water pump prices ranged from £75 to £180. I wanted a NOS one too

then a place who shall remain nameless came up with one at £59 + vat + delivery so about so about £80 ish.

I harrased the bloke via email for a discount and after a few emails he said if I paid £54 in the next few mins I could have it all for that :D

luckily I walked in from the garage just in time and got it done :D
