Our RRC 1989 3.5V8 EFi (lpg/petrol - flapper injection system) has been in our workshop for a few months, having some fairly extensive repairs to the front. Went to bring her out on Sunday, only to find that she'll run on lpg, but if switched to petrol the fuel ECU relay buzzes angrily and she'll start, run for a few seconds and die. Tried changing the relay, still buzzes. Any thoughts? I've just downloaded the diagnostics for the injection system, but before starting if anyone has any thoughts it would be appreciated!
If it helps, the relay still buzzes when she's running on lpg. She has been running on both petrol and lpg since the welding was completed, so I don't think we've fried the ECU...
I understand that the relays are earth switched, and have read somewhere that there should be continuity between PIN 1 of the fuel injection ECU and the negative side of the coil - we haven't, can anyone confirm this? Many thanks in advance
