Yes it worked, although i got deducted 5% for the green ink. I still dont know why.
They must have been hoping it didn't catch on, I don't know about you but if I was marking hundreds of english essays, I'd be pretty ****ed off if they were all written in green

I'm not blaming you ahah, what's this business about being on your parents policy?
it was dodgy ten years ago when i first did it my dad "bought" and "owned" the vehicle which if i was asked he used it for work where the car was insured any driver under 25 but if you were caught doing this you could technically get done but it was down to them to prove it

Bad way to go, lots of my friends did this and failed to build up no claims...by mid twenties I was laughing, they were not! However, the suggestion of putting parents on kids policy is bang-on advice and will make a big difference. I'm 37 with full no claims and no points...and putting my mum on as a named driver still saves me £20!!

Also, encourage parents to go with someone like Admiral and go for a multicar policy within the house...seems to be a good way to go.

Hope this helps...

P.s. key to being safe on the road is to recognise how unsafe the road is. A 17 yr old in a 2 tonne car fills me with dread...driving a car is easy...driving a road is hard...take care dude

by definition the main driver is the one doing most of the driving
Fortunately to my knowledge the authorities have not yet installed CCTV cameras into each car in the country so how would the insurance company know who's been doing most of the driving?

Theres plenty of camera's out of the car around though;)

they are a law unto themselves they don't have to prove it.

if they get a whiff of what will potentially happen, given your situation, thay can refuse to insure you.

fair point well made, Suppose I should be looking at the larger picture, especially when this larger picture includes the years in which I will be paying the bills and not dad

And the thought of my 17 yr old driving a cheap, tinny codbox on our roads today due to insurance costs fills me with dread. can't win can we? :(

Personally what worries me more is those driving out there in their late 80's with deteriorating vision, hearing and reflexes. I bet they don't have to fork out 3 grand for insurance
