This Sunday, Jan 11th.

Green Laning, to start 10am, through Maltby, away over to Retford and up to Bawtry using some of the lanes I know ... ;)

Anyone up for it, there's a bit of a write-up and some pics of some of the lanes and what they're like in 'South Yorkshire laning' S Yorks Laning ... mostly all pretty harmless but nice. Some a bit scratchy, one field edge that might get road tyres stuck but not much else at all to worry any Landrover.

Maximum six vehicles including mine, most of the lanes are a good introduction to laning and most are also pretty much virgin, so I don't want them wrecking!! Slow speeds, not mud-plugging or rock crawling, but pretty scenery and quiet green-laning. Hopefully we'll only leave tyre tracks. ;)
:rolly:

PM me for start place, first come first served .... I won't tell anyone exactly where the lanes are until we're on them.

OK, if anyone's interested, post on here and I'll pm start time and place etc.

Cheers.

Just got back.

Good day out, thanks for the company Mark and Andy, hope the lanes were good for you. No-one got stuck, but there was enough mud to make it interesting and a couple of places that road tyres wouldn't have made up, but which I'd routed to go down, so all was well. Good day for newcomers, I think. ;)

Pic 1 shows the first obstacle ... a Citroen Xsara, abandoned halfway across a track about 100yards from the start!!

Only a couple more pics when we stopped.

Route we took.

Only a pic of it, not in too much detail but will give anyone an idea. About 80 miles altogether, with I reckon maybe 10 miles, maybe more, of green laning.

From Maltby to Bawtry, with a few diversions ... ;)
