It’s finally working!
Having checked all of my work on it so far and found nothing out of order, I refitted the intake and tried a bit of easy start. It ran for a moment but wouldn’t keep going after the starting fluid was used up, indicating an...

Some readers will know the LH front radius arm thread is...knackered:
So I picked up a pair of secondhand arms from another local restorer/enthusiast fellow. A snip at £20 for the pair.
One of the very first jobs I did as a MoD apprentice was...
The shims you need are already in there, it is a case of removing one or two to get the preload right. They are of different thickness and it is a case of try it and see. Example remove the thinnest shim replace pin and if still to loose put it...

Nope, I have
No I have not. I just watched a video on how to do it.
I am thinking of ordering shims if I have to do this. I am guessing I would need them?
Why does this happen? Is it because over time the shims compress and thin out?
Turned as in skimmed. As you understood I am Turkish and my English vocabulary about mechanical stuff generally comes from the youtubers that fix cars and Top Gear :) And yes the pressure plate was changed too.
