Ive just changed all the dash lights back to standard. Was told led's would give a brighter dash but no ! the indicator lights were all working, but the dash light only came on, either right or left, depending on which way the bulb was inserted...
The only thing both systems are sharing is the IDM(interior fusebox) no common earth nor headers/connectors as the washer pump is in front aand the wiper motor at the rear, the BCU is involved only in the washer's activity so the first suspect is...
Hi,
Leave the good one where it is, just check gaiters if they need renewing, never throw a working driveshaft.
For the bad one, put an oem or genuine driveshaft, GNK I think and nothing else.
You can look at a preowned one if you want to save...
Done for today, weather and bad connectors won. To be continued next week for the alternator and after vacation for everything else. I need a bullet crimping tool, and that sounds like a nice souvenir from Scotland!
Just some questions regarding...
Its called "speed wobble" because that is when it happens usually induced by a bump in the road. Loading up the drive train [accelerating] can act as a damper but is not a cure.
Have you done the swivel housing preload?
So, no quick fixes. Couple of reasons: some of the connectors of the head lamps and side indicators are not great, so to do it propably bullet connectors are the way to go. Then there I need to plug a new wire between the fuel pump connector on...
I was thinking both those things, thanks for confirming the "turning" issue.
I am now wondering if he did mean that he had it skimmed.
Turning, as in English, is a common word in other languages for turning summat on a lathe.
Sadly I don't know...
Okay so let me give now a real situation that happened yesterday.
I was commuting on the my highway (motorway) and like mentioned before 80km/hr, every time, No issues. However, once I got to 85-87 I got a nasty wobble, on this particular part...
You say "turned" Do you mean skimmed, or turned round so it now faces the other way? Never even knew you could do that.
Did you change the pressure plate too? It does seem like you have covered most of the normal reasons for judder.
I have a...
Ok you are right. It judders does and not slip at 1st gear . The reason I said mostly is because it did slip in higher gears (3rd-4th) 4-5 times since 2021. Other than that there aren't any slipping it judders. And the flywheel was turned after...
The thing is that at shows like this big fun is had in the evenings, around the barbie etc, with loads of beers.
Then you couldn't get to the BnB unless it is within stagerring distance!
Odd stuff always seems to be happening!!
@sierrafery may have an idea or two. I know that the rear wash/wipe obvs has to have the wipe part of it working. Maybe look at that first, if you solve that I spose it may fix the other one.
Which...

Thanks everyone for the information. Just updating, I took the car out for a test drive – no noise at first and no fluid leaks anywhere.
But on the way back, once everything got hot, the pump started making noise again.
I guess I damaged the...
Got a bit more done this morning, cam chain and sprockets off, rocker assemblies, pushrods, followers, cam, valley gasket and both heads. The head bolts were the tightest thing i've ever had to undo, broke one socket but managed to get it done...
