Ended up shortening the driver's side latch bolt and lengthening the passenger side one, that seemed to get the bonnet opening fairly reliably. I'll probably have to make some micro adjustments to find the sweet spot

Yes, that’s the one! Not a great afternoon when I was all ready to start sound proofing! What did you use to glue it?

Yes, it does, galvanic corrosion it is... Sandwiching alluminium between steel has that effect. I used/cut up an old roadsign to do mine with lashings of paint on both surfaces and waterproof grease to keep out the electrolyte. This is what it...

Fan belt on my recent acquisition (1989 V8 110) was squealing like a stuck pig so I got a replacement from our local motor factors this afternoon. They asked me if the belt I wanted was the 10mm or the 13mm one. I measured the existing one and it...

Usually RF interference waking the BECM, so disconnect the RF antenna from the receiver. It's under the offside rear shelf.

When this happened to me, in a Discovery 2 TD5, the problem was the MAP/Iat sensor. Just saying.

I'm pretty sure my old RRC cig. lighters (F & R) are also ign. live, not permanent. Something to do with the safety of inquisitive kids if they are left in the car?

Hi guys, The ignition system on my 1989 V8 3.5 looks original - apart from a new dizzy cap someone put on quite recently. But the amplifier and coil both appear to be 36 years old. I'm getting a very weak spark and am tempted to fit a new...

Always wise to change the water pump if the pulley is at fault, also you may as well do the thermostat at the same time, change both belts. Gates https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174947881084 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162597598422 ContiTech...
